The Final Parasite Eve Fanfiction

As of yesterday, 20th May, 2023, I have finally finished my Parasite Eve fanfiction which I had started over a decade ago.  The links are : https://www.mediafire.com/file/brwjr1370otjsp9/Parasite+Eve+Zero.zip/file The final Parasite Eve fanfics (Parasite Eve Zero - which takes us back to the setting of 1997 Manhattan Incidence where the game was based on). https://www.mediafire.com/file/w6zqhkzl8h2s843/Second+Genesis+War.zip/file The complication of the past four Parasite Eve leading to its conclusion, in case someone forgot to read them. Since 2001, I had been writing fanfiction in various places (forums included) as a mean to entertain myself (largely). Parasite Eve was one of my longest running fanfiction which was based on the 1997 video game of the same name. I really do not remember when I had started it, maybe 2010 or maybe even before that. I had lost the first fanfiction I had written which was based strictly on the game itself due to a hard-disk crash years ago....

Artificial Intelligent is endangering Human Civilization. Part 3

Use of AI in relation to Ethics and Morality. Where do we draw the Line? Continue from what I have wrote before, I think the best approach to this dialogue is to ask a simple question - "What is a Civilization?" What constitutes a society to become a civilization? What are the criteria? What are the necessary development which a society have to make in order for it to be considered as a civilization?  While that question could be something redundant to be asked, the truth is, not many could agree with the definition of a Civilization. Just open a Google search engine and type in "Define Civilization" and you can come out with various definition of what a civilization is. Examples : A civilization (or civilisation) is any complex society characterized by the development of the state, social stratification, urbanization, and symbolic systems of communication beyond natural spoken language (namely, a writing system).[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] source : https://en.wikipedi...

Artificial Intelligent is endangering Human Civilization. Part 2

Age of Frankenstein Products. In the last post (Part 1), we have explored how changes in the digital lifestyle - with smartphones and its applications - had caused a significant changes to the psyche and physical aspect of the human brain and personality. Being too attached to digital information at one's fingertips, has caused a significant drop in the attention span of a person (from previously held 12 seconds to a mere 8 seconds).  What most people do not understand about this drop is that people now had a reduced level of ability to process data in their mind (without any external aid). They had become more thought-less, harder to create complex emotional and intellectual connections (especially with the knowledge that they had obtained) and this could result in a more stressful situation where modern era could demand more from human intellectual properties, only for them to fail to achieve that "range" and rely more and more on things like Artificial Intelligence.  A...

Artificial Intelligent is endangering Human Civilization. Part 1.

Rise of Machines and AI. Good or Bad? If you were to look up a definition of Artificial Intelligence (AI), it will come out with various interpretation of the concept but the key concept could always be a computerized (or automated) system or a simulation of human intelligence with purpose of performing tasks which normally requires human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition and so forth. As a Graduate of Computer Systems and Network, I have some basic idea what an Artificial Intelligent could look like as automated systems (or structured Systems as we call it). The difference between an automated system and an AI is that automated systems does not remove the needs for human interaction. It still requires humans to monitor, make changes and remove unwanted elements from the system to ensure that the process works smoothly as possible. An AI on the other hand, will remove the need for human interaction and make a calculated guess based on what it had "learned...

Last of Us - TV show.

Last of Us (Part 1) came out in 2013 (ten years ago) as a video game for PlayStation 4 (I believe it was an exclusive title for PS4 at the time) and was considered the best game of the year for that year.  Gamer communities (including those in Japan) had considered the game to be one of the best for the PlayStation 4 due to its story plot, game play and character development (all which was butchered in Part 2 by the way). Now, HBO with collaboration from SONY Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Naughty Dogs, the Mighty Mint(?) and Word Games (seriously?) had produced a TV series based on the game which premiered recently (on January 15th, 2023).  I have watched the first two episodes on Netflix here (largely due to encouragement from my nephew who also played both games). I usually watched a TV series after they had completed the season since I don't like to wait a week for the next episode to come but my nephew could not wait. Frankly speaking, they (the production t...

[Resident Evil 3 Remake - Honest Review

Resident Evil 3 Remake - Honest Review I had been playing Resident Evil games since late-1990s, including the first original game back in 1998 when it came out. Resident Evil 1 can be considered one of the action genre games which I played first, along with Dino Crisis 1 and 2 which marked my transcend from RPG gamer to an action genre gamer.  However, I had been hearing about the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remake recently (since 2020) and tried not to get spoils for the game through channels like Youtube. I cannot be feel hyped for the remake, as I believed that they could have added more contents and plot to the already establish storyline. However, I had been hearing a lot of criticism and complains from fans of the series regarding the remakes. I have recently brought Resident Evil 2 and 3 in a bundle package over the Playstation Store when they had an offer a few weeks back (and on my birthday nevertheless). Gave it a try and Man! I think a lot of those complains I had been hearing...

Wasteland 3 - Honest Review

I was finished Wasteland 2 when I searched the Playstation store and found out that they had a sequel to Wasteland 3. Excited for it, I brought it without thinking twice.  First thing I had noticed is that the graphic is superb compared to Wasteland 2, which felt like a 2D game. You move on World map and on the combat field in actual 3D space, with a good perception of depth, distance and size of the characters. The characters (both playable and NPCs) are well-designed and in good details. The game effects are well created and showcased smooth and well. So graphically, it is an amazing improvement over Wasteland 2. The plot is simple as well. You are Team November - a group of Arizona Rangers who were sent to Colorado to aid a local Warlord named the Patriarch who is having problem with his kids (I kid you not).  The goal is to capture the three brats (his direct orders is not to harm his kids) and he will award you by sending supplies to Arizona which was suffering due to the...
