On more personal front.

What happening in my life - as of 19th July, 2021. This is really bad year. Last February, I finally got around to be playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake and finished it in 15 days. I got down to writing down about it in my blog, but believed it or not, several bad incidents in my life really put a dent in my life in a very bad way which was why it took me a while to write my blog again.  First of all, my project desktop, which I had customized with various software had crashed and the hard-disk had become unusable. This is a tremendous blow to my personal schedule because the work I had done for the past two and half years were in that hard disk, consisting of my game assets I had created myself as well as other software installations like Visual Studio, Blender and Unity 3D. The painful lost was really discouraging, like a kick to my balls, just when I was about to start my project, putting together something in Unity (which I had finally tune to my specification). Final Fantasy 7 - End Game Review. Part 2

Plot so far As a person who played the Original game at least three times in the past, I was quite familiar with the story and the plot. Therefore, as I was playing the Remake, I was paying extra attention toward the plot and the story-line of the Remake. I believe that SQUAREnix was not planning to completely remake the Original game. And I was correct. There were some major chances to the plot when compared to the Original. I will state a few here and try not to add any spoilers. The story in Midgar (at least in the Original game) served as a "introductory episode" for all its characters (except for Sid highwind, Vincent Valentine and Yuffie). Even Cait Sith (the robot fat cat controlled by Reeve) was somewhat showcased here in form of Reeve, trying hard to persuade his company to be more "humane" in dealing with the people.  I was expecting the story to start off slowly, to ease everyone to the three main characters they could be using (Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockh...

Final Fantasy 7 Remake - my end-game review.

I must admit that when I got this game for free (courtesy of PSN) last February, I was excited to play it. However, I was expecting more content for the first part of this long-awaited game (at least in par with the Original 1997 game). I know that the first part of the game (Midgar part) is small - less than 20% of the whole game but I was not expecting a game which I could finish in 15 DAYS.  To this day, Remake is the shortest game I had ever finished in Playstation 4. I was hoping that SQUAREnix could have expanded the game a bit with more side-quests like beating up bad guys, monster clearing, Summon battles (which I truly enjoy) and such which could have made the game longer. To start the review, I like to say that SQUAREnix did a very good job at remaking this old classic. But to be fair to them who worked so hard on it, I do not think we should call it a Remake but a Reimagined story which felt more appropriate.  During the game play, I was able to immerse myself in th...
