Decided not to repost my post about Kingdom Come Deliverance. Instead, I will start off with my post done in August.

The Year 2020 so far ...

I had been a very long time since my last update. Busy is an understatement as things had been moving in a irretic movement since the beginning of this year (2020). By February (2020), Malaysia had underwent four months of lockdown which made everything grind to a halt, which makes it hard for everyone to make money.

I'm currently assisting my elder brother in his restaurant (something like a supervisor) while he still managing his tuisyen center nearby. But the lockdown forced the tuisyen center to be closed (as with all other educational centers, including schools and colleges). The restaurant functioned in a minimun level where we were not allowed to have customers walk in, but we are still able to pack food for them. It is a good thing too, since we have started to implement home-delivery system in January and that helped to keep things afloat for awhile.

As for me, I was keeping myself active and busy. Taking the "free time" as a boon, I jumped head first into learning Blender 3D software and Unity 3D game engine. I cannot say for certain that I'm an expert by now, since things had been busy for the past one month with the government easing down on the lockdown. But my personal goal is to get some kind of demo out OR learn how to do (limited) motion capture - at least with my face, all by the end of this year.

I did have a good idea about what I wanted to demo. In midst of drawing up the concept - simple one, nothing particular as this is my first project and I want to the feel of making a game instead of targetting a large scale project where I have to invest a lot of my time into. I'm not ready for that yet. I'm also already started in creating 3D objects (using Blender 3D software) and planning to use it on my Unity 3D software to create the simple demo.

But before I get ahead of myself, I still have to contend with my problems with my two desktops.I have two desktops. The first one have Windows Operating issues which giving me all sort of problems. I have to backup this desktop (which also shared with my elder brother) and reformat it. My secondary desktop had a spoilt hard disk and I have already brought in a new one but have yet to get down to formating that as well. Only thing still working (touchwood!) is my laptop but my neice hoard it to do her school assignment most of the time.

And finally, I had been updating my fanfic with intention of releasing it end of the year or beginning of next year (2021) but again, the perviously mentioned two problems (with my PCs) as well as my work is keep stalling me from doing it. First thing first, reformat the desktop, hopefully my middle of next month. I had finished about 60 to 70 percent of the fanfic, so anything is possible.

Oh forgot, in more tragic part, there was two funerals at my family for the past two months. First was my second elder sister. she had been facing a lot of health problems recently, including diabetic and infection and finally, she collapsed at her house two months ago and passed away at the hospital. I was not very close to her or her family but we did attend the funeral and do the necessary arrangement as her siblings.

The second death was my 94 year old mother. She died of natural course after living a very long life. She lived a nice pampered life for the first 14 years before she got married (which was common back in 1940s). Then her life too a drastic turn for nearly fifty years or more, even after she had me and my elder brother (who lived with her for the rest of her life as others were already married and had their own family to take care). we had a very tough life for the first twenty eight (28) years or more, until my brother finished his studies and started to settle down in life. The last twenty years of her life was, as far as I can tell, was a peaceful one. She lived with us and and able to spend a good quality time with three of her grandchildren (my nephew and two neice). She died in our home, peacefully and we have made all the proper funeral arrangement and did everything according to Hindu rituals and rites. There is a sense of peace now.
